Le Gars Fiable: Some Heroes Do Wear Capes
At WHC, we believe the web should help people do good.
That belief is exactly why we’re proud to support Le Gars Fiable, a community-powered project led by Pietro Mancini.
Pietro doesn’t just talk about helping others. He throws on his cape, shows up, and gets to work.
Through Le Gars Fiable, he offers free, practical help to people who are running out of time, energy, health, money, or support. And thanks to a growing community of supporters, he’s able to keep doing it, one real-life visit at a time.
This is the kind of project we’re incredibly proud to stand behind.
Meet Pietro
Pietro’s always been the guy who shows up. Helping family. Fixing what’s broken. Carrying what’s heavy.
During the pandemic, he lost a job he thought was solid. Instead of spiraling into the usual “what now?” questions, he asked himself something different:
“What would I do if I were a millionaire?”
The answer came quickly. He’d help people.
So in June 2021, he decided to try something bold. He’d spend one full month helping strangers for free. No business plan. No long-term roadmap. Just thirty days of being useful.
That month changed everything.

Why a superhero alter ego made sense
At first, the requests were slow to come in. Free help can feel suspicious, especially when trust has been broken before.
Pietro understood that. To build trust, Pietro began documenting his work online. To spread the word even further, he created an alter ego.
Le Gars Fiable wasn’t about pretending to be someone else. It was about giving the mission a face, a name, and a story people could believe in. Being “a nice guy” doesn’t travel far online. But being a reliable everyday hero does.
Pietro is a lifelong fan of Spider-Man, one of the most human and relatable superheroes. Underneath the costume, Peter Parker’s just trying to get by in a hard world, like most of us.
He’s not invincible. He doesn’t live in a secret fortress or save the world in one fell swoop. He helps the people right in front of him, in the neighborhood he actually lives in, one small win at a time.
That’s exactly how Pietro sees his mission.

He says that his dream superpower is super speed. Not to rush through people’s homes, because those moments are meant to be slow and human. But to get through admin, editing, and social media faster, so he can spend more time actually helping.
That balance matters to him.
What he does (and how he keeps it reliable)
Pietro offers one full day of free, hands-on help to people who are out of resources.
The work itself is intentionally simple and practical:
- assembling furniture
- installing shelves and décor
- organizing and decluttering spaces
- deep cleaning key rooms like kitchens
- light outdoor work like weeding or cleaning gutters
To stay reliable, he keeps clear boundaries. He only accepts requests that:
- are in his service area
- match his skill set
- can be done in under seven hours
That means no big painting projects, no plaster work, and nothing involving gas or electrical systems. For Pietro, being dependable also means knowing when to say no.
What he’s really offering isn’t just help. It’s real relief.
One window, one hour, so much joy
One story sums it up perfectly.
A 92-year-old man could no longer safely go outside to clean the only window where he enjoyed his morning coffee. That window was his view of the world. The birds. The light. A small daily ritual.
Pietro cleaned it in about an hour.
The task was simple. The impact wasn’t.
That one visit brought back a moment of joy the man thought he’d lost. And for Pietro, that mattered just as much as any full-day project.
There’s no hierarchy in helping. It doesn’t matter whether it takes an hour or a day. That’s what his version of heroism looks like.
A bigger vision
Today, it’s Le Gars Fiable.
But Pietro’s long-term vision goes further. He imagines a future with Les Gens Fiables, everyday people helping in their own communities.
The goal isn’t growth for the sake of it. It’s sustainability. His vision includes:
- stabilizing the mission so he can keep doing this full-time
- delegating admin and coordination so he can stay on the ground
- safely connecting people who need help with people who want to give it
- eventually building a platform that makes those connections easier
Always human. Always local. Always grounded.
Why WHC is part of this story
For a project built on trust, having a strong online foundation matters a lot, and a professional website is the best way to instill confidence and appear credible.
Pietro’s website is where everything comes together. It’s where people learn about the mission, request help, support the project financially, and see that this work is real and well organized.
WHC provides hosting and other web services, backing projects that reflect our values. Community, reliability, and real-world impact.
Supporting Le Gars Fiable is our way of helping make sure the tech stays out of the way, so the mission can keep moving.
Powered by people
Pietro never charges for his help. Le Gars Fiable exists because of la belle chaîne de beau, or the beautiful chain of good, a growing community of individuals and businesses who believe in what he’s doing.
Support comes in many forms, from monthly donations starting at just one dollar, to corporate partners, tools, services, and time. Over a thousand people have contributed since the beginning, with hundreds supporting the mission every month.
Everyone is a link in the chain. Including us

Final word
Pietro started with a simple promise:
“If you need help, I’ll be there.”
Today, that promise has grown into a movement that proves kindness still works, showing up still matters, and community still makes a difference.
We’re proud to support Le Gars Fiable.
And we’re honoured to be part of la belle chaîne de beau.
